Job summary

Tru Vue Inc. is hiring interns for Summer 2027 in Cincinnati, OH; Faribault, MN; and Louisville, KY. The 12-week program (May–August) provides hands-on project experience, professional development, and exposure to Apogee locations across multiple business units.

You will work alongside quality, engineering, and production teams on real manufacturing projects, including time studies and lean improvement initiatives, with ongoing mentorship and leadership exposure.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BS degree in a four-year college in a related engineering field.
• Sophomore, junior, or senior standing during internship.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Interest in manufacturing and hands-on engineering work.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Work with quality, engineering, and production teams on real projects.
• Spend time on the manufacturing floor learning processes, equipment, and operations.
• Identify opportunities to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and productivity.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving manufacturing issues.
• Collect and analyze production data.
• Support process improvement, equipment, tooling, and layout projects.
• Assist with time studies, process documentation, and work instructions.
• Participate in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing initiatives.
• Help implement engineering solutions and see projects through to completion.

What We’re Looking For

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree at a four year college or university in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Sophomore, Junior, or Senior standing at the time of the internship.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Interest in manufacturing and hands-on engineering work.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively with engineering, production, maintenance, and quality teams.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment and spending time on the production floor.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Willingness to learn, ask questions, and take initiative.
