Job summary

Brookfield Asset Management Inc. is seeking motivated Summer Interns to join Brookfield Private Wealth for Summer 2027. This 10-week program runs June to August 2027, with hours 8:30am to 5:00pm, in New York, NY or Chicago, IL.

Interns gain hands-on experience in investment management and exposure to multiple areas of the private wealth business. As an intern, you’ll work across Sales, Platform Operations, Fund Accounting, Finance & Accounting, or Legal & Regulatory, developing practical skills

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Legal Studies or a related field.
• Strong interest in asset management, alternative investments and/or financial markets.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to changing needs.
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support various Brookfield Private Wealth teams during the internship.
• Assist with client engagement, data analysis and reporting.
• Support fund accounting, trade reconciliations and financial reporting.
• Contribute to projects across Sales, Platform Operations, Finance & Accounting, and Legal & Regulatory.
• Collaborate with colleagues across Private Wealth and Brookfield.
