Job summary

Brookfield Asset Management LLC in New York is offering a Summer 2027 internship within Brookfield Private Wealth. The 10-week program provides exposure to Sales, Platform Operations, Fund Accounting, Finance & Accounting, and Legal & Regulatory, with hands-on experience supporting the development and operation of investment solutions for private wealth clients.

Locations include New York, NY or Chicago, IL; hours are 8:30am to 5:00pm, Monday–Friday, and compensation is $25 per hour.

Qualifications

Pursuing a bachelor's degree in a related field (Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, Legal Studies).
Strong interest in asset management and financial markets.
Analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing needs.
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Self-motivated and able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

Assist throughout the 10-week program in Sales, Platform Operations, Fund Accounting, Finance & Accounting, or Legal & Regulatory.
Support client engagement, CRM activities, and data analysis.
Help with investor trade reconciliations, reporting, and platform launches.
Support fund accounting, financial statements, budgeting, and tax reporting.
Assist with accounts payable and other finance tasks as needed.
Contribute to regulatory research and compliance initiatives.
