Qualifications

  • Pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or electronics engineering technology.
  • Sophomore year must be complete by the start of the summer internship program for undergraduate candidates.
  • Minimum 3.0 on 4.0 GPA scale)
  • Familiarity with electronics test equipment
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Demonstrated leadership ability and initiative (e.g. school club officer, sports team captain, resident advisor, etc. or exceptional leadership on school/work projects).
  • Candidate must be a self‑motivated problem solver operating with limited supervision to help achieve goals for a global team
  • Experience with circuit design projects, circuit fault finding or previous internship experience is preferred.
  • Experience in IoT, Python, C, Altium Designer (or similar), Spice, LabWorks (or Similar), Creo Parametric (or similar). (preferred but not required)

  • Help in testing and analyzing test data to assess performance using A3 problem solving and 8D processes.
  • Learn and apply best practices in use of electronics test equipment, ie DMM, Oscilloscope.
  • Participates in design reviews, as assigned
  • Provides written input for project reports, focusing on assigned tasks
  • Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job

Summer Intern - Hardware Engineering - Product Lifecycle Engineering - Indianapolis, Indiana

The core responsibility for the Hardware Engineering intern is to participate with the Product Lifecycle Engineering team and perform tasks as assigned to meet objectives and departmental goals.

A Product Lifecycle Engineer is expected to evaluate a variety of product designs within a framework of nimble task switching ability.

Qualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. The company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, TN, etc.) for this employment position.

What You Will Do
  • Actively involved in evaluating engineering design performance of field returns.
