Job summary

Ankura invites applicants for a Summer Internship in our Forensics practice. The role mirrors a full-time Associate as you gain exposure to investigations, disputes, and accounting advisory work for diverse clients.

You will collaborate with colleagues from Associate to Senior Managing Director levels and perform accounting-related analyses, presenting findings to project leads. This role requires US work authorization and a strong drive to learn.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or Master’s Degree in Accounting; expected graduation date between December 2027 and June 2028.
• Applicants should have an interest to pursue a CPA license upon graduation and completion of state requirements
• Ability to work well independently, as well as collaboratively with colleagues.
• Possess strong team-oriented personality characteristics: hard-working, thoughtful, and collaborative, with a positive outlook and confidence.
• Possess excellent communication (verbal and written), computer, and organizational skills, and strong quantitative and qualitative analytical, mathematical, and research skills.
• Ability to adapt quickly in handling multiple, evolving tasks and/or engagements, and re-prioritized deadlines in an always changing environment.
• Highly motivated, eager to learn, willing to travel as needed, and able to motivate others.
• Technical accounting, financial, and economic skills, along with familiarity and knowledge of application of SEC rules, regulations, and disclosures.
• Understanding of and experience with application and/or research of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles(“U.S. GAAP”) and/or generally accepting auditing standards(“GAAS”).
• Proficient with PC environments and related software, including Microsoft Office applications, specifically advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Apply accounting, financial, and analytical skills to client issues, including data analysis and financial statements.
• Assist with design and implementation of analyses, investigations, and workplans.
• Develop and perform analyses to assess fact patterns and prepare reports for review by senior staff and clients.
• Document and maintain workpapers reflecting assumptions, sources, and methodologies.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality work within timeframes and budgets.
• Support day-to-day client engagement activities and collaborate with Ankura team members.
• Contribute to pitches, proposals, and external networking events.
