Job summary

PIMCO invites undergraduates to join the 2026 Summer Internship – Business Development Support Analyst in Newport Beach, CA. The role supports new business proposals and client servicing across fixed income products, with mentorship and cross-functional exposure.

Qualifications

Pursuing an undergraduate degree at an accredited university.
Must be able to start full-time at a PIMCO office between January 2027 – August 2027.
Must be enrolled at a university during Fall 2026 semester (Aug 2026 – Dec 2026).
Have a minimum 3.2 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale at a 4-year college or university.
Are business proficient in English.

Responsibilities

Developing a strong understanding of the firm’s strategy offerings and presenting strategy summaries in bi-weekly meetings.
Researching and analyzing market trends, competitor activities and client needs to provide actionable insights.
Learning how to access, analyze and report data from the firm’s proprietary systems, the BDS team’s content library software and other data solutions used across the firm.
Assisting with the completion of RFPs and questionnaires, and various ad hoc requests to maintain strong client relationships and aid in business growth.
