Job description

Summer Students – Cartersville GA.

The USG Cartersville, GA. location is looking for temporary operators for the summer. There may be an opportunity for candidates to start earlier based on availability.

Candidates will be compensated $20.80/hour.

This position offers many challenges to those that wish to exceed their limits in an environment that seeks continuous improvement & innovation. You will report to the department supervisor and your principal functions are:

  1. Assist with special projects.
  2. Fill in for production operators’ vacations.
  3. Work in the warehouse.
  4. Perform general housekeeping duties.
  5. All other related tasks and projects.

Qualification:

  1. Must be a minimum 18 years of age and successfully complete USG’s pre-employment screening requirements.
  2. Must possess the ability to work safely and effectively in a warehouse and manufacturing environment.
  3. Results oriented and demonstrated strong teamwork abilities.
  4. Must demonstrate a willingness to work various and/or rotating shifts and any assigned overtime.
  5. Candidates demonstrating above average safety performance, work performance and meeting all attendance requirements may be considered for future full-time positions at the Bridgeport plant.
  6. Candidates must be enrolled in college level coursework.

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
