Job Description

Summary/Objective

This is a temporary summer position for assisting in warehouse operations. Responsibilities include general warehouse support, organizing materials, and assisting with deliveries and maintenance under supervision.

Essential Functions

• Assist in organizing and maintaining warehouse inventory.
• Help receive, label, and stock incoming materials.
• Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Assist in preparing materials for jobsite delivery.
• Safely operated warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling tools (after completing required training and certification).
• Load and unload delivery trucks.
• Perform basic warehouse maintenance tasks such as minor repairs and facility upkeep.
• Assist with inventory counts and reporting as directed.
• Support deliveries by helping load materials and riding along as an assistant, if needed.
• Follow all the instructions from the Warehouse Manager.
• Abide by all OSHA, Houck Services, Inc., and departmental safety guidelines.
• Work safely and always stay alert while on the job.
• Ability to go up on the roofs.
• Ability to follow directions.
• Dependable and punctual.
• Willingness to learn and help where needed.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Positive attitude and good communication skills.

Warehouse environment with potential outdoor work. May involve noise, dust, and physical activity.

Physical Demands

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
• Standing, walking, and light manual labor for extended periods.
• Ability to bend, reach, and carry materials safely.
