Job summary

Portage Learning is seeking a Graphic Design Intern to gain real-world experience and build a portfolio for a career in graphic design. The intern will support design deliverables for course development and marketing campaigns, including branding, print collateral, digital ads, and social graphics, with guidance from a Graphic Designer and the Creative Arts Director.

Ideal candidates are currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Graphic Design or related fields and have strong knowledge of

Qualifications

Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, Communications, Advertising, Marketing or related field.
Successful completion of a background check and clearances: Child Abuse, State Police, and FBI Fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

Develop graphics and layouts for print, web and social media content.
Prepare illustrations or rough sketches of material, discussing them with the Academic and Marketing teams and making necessary changes.
Collaboration is a key part of the internship; the designer will work with the Graphic Designers and the Creative Arts Director to contribute to the creative process.
Engage in weekly professional development sessions as part of the summer internship cohort, cultivating collaboration, strengthening skills, and encouraging continuous learning.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
