Job summary

Enbridge is seeking a Fixed Asset Intern for a 4-month placement in Houston. The role provides accounting and analytical support to the Fixed Asset Accounting team, ideal for an accounting student seeking hands-on experience in a corporate setting.

You will prepare unitizations, assist with month-end close, and participate in process improvements while maintaining accurate financial records and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a full time post-secondary program studying Accounting/Finance and will be returning to full time school immediately following the work term.
• Effective and professional communication both verbal and written with ability to communicate with all levels within the organization.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
• Effective time management and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Solid computer skills and experience using MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to actively and consistently represent Enbridge’s core values (Safety, Integrity, Respect, Inclusion, High Performance).

Responsibilities

• Prepare unitizations and journal entries in line with internal controls and accounting standards.
• Support month-end close activities, including reconciliations and variance analysis.
• Contribute to departmental projects, clean up and process improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and insights.
• Learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and processes.
• Take ownership of assigned tasks and support daily operations.
