Positions: Speech Language Pathologist - Summer ESY

June 16 - July 25

Certification Needed:

• Speech Language Pathology Licensure through the Ohio Board of Speech Language Hearing Association
• Certificate of Clinical Competence through the American Speech Language Hearing Association
• Experience with students with moderate to severe disabilities preferred
• Pupil Services License through the Ohio Department of Education

Description: Solon Schools provides extended school year services to students with disabilitiies. The position will provide service 2-3 mornings per week (12 total hours of service). Compensation for planning time and completion of progress reports is provided.

Job Responsibilities include:

• Create and follow a schedule for services.
• Design and implement activities that align with the student’s IEP goals and objectives.
• Provide students with services/materials as indicated on his/her IEP (e.g., visual schedules, augmentative communication, behavior plans).
• Consulting with teachers and other classroom staff as needed.
• Collect data and provide a written progress report on IEP goals for students who are eligible for ESY.
• Communicate progress with parents.
