Job summary

Malden Public Schools is seeking ESY 2026 Preschool Special Education Teachers for six positions. The roles are contingent on enrollment and require participation across the ESY session schedule.

Positions involve planning ESY curriculum for students on IEPs, maintaining attendance logs, portfolios, and final progress reports. A stipend of $40 per hour totals $3,320 for 20 days plus an in-service day.

Qualifications

• Valid Massachusetts Teacher Certification in the respective content area of Special Education.
• Successful teaching experience.
• Experience modifying and differentiating curriculum students within sub-separate and inclusion classes.
• Ability to relate /communicate effectively with teachers, students, parents, and administrators.
• Teachers must commit to being present for each day of the program.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement ESY Curriculum for students on IEP’s.
• Complete planning logs for each session and maintain student attendance records.
• Keep folders/portfolios with student work.
• Perform other related activities as required by the Program Coordinator.
• Develop Progress Reports at the end of the ESY Program.
