Job summary

University of Mount Saint Vincent in Bronx seeks a Summer ESL Teacher to deliver engaging ESL lessons to teenage learners during July and August. This part-time, fixed-term contract runs across three sessions with a structured timetable and close collaboration with the Teaching Manager.

You will adapt pre-made plans, maintain attendance, prepare reports, and help with end-of-session activities while upholding ISV USA standards for safety and student welfare.

Qualifications

• Must have the right to work in the US.
• Minimum of a bachelor's degree required.
• Two references and proven teaching experience with students under 18.
• Background check and child abuse clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Teach pre-designed ESL lessons to teenage learners.
• Prepare and adapt lesson plans to class composition.
• Deliver engaging, student-centered lessons following ISV USA syllabus.
• Start and end lessons on schedule and maintain attendance records.
• Attend staff meetings and keep teaching documents up to date.
