Job summary

Moderna is seeking a highly motivated PhD/ScD student for a full‑time summer internship in Cambridge, MA from June 7, 2027 to August 20, 2027. You will gain hands‑on experience in real‑world epidemiologic research, vaccine development, and decision‑making to support Moderna’s portfolio of vaccines.

• Currently enrolled in a PhD/ScD program in Epidemiology or a closely related field.
• Strong background in epidemiology and biostatistics.
• Experience with SAS, R, STATA is a plus; US work authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure to epidemiology in vaccine development and translational research.
• Lead epidemiologic analyses on disease burden and health outcomes.
• Communicate findings via data visualization, reports, and presentations.
• Collaborate with Clinical Development, Medical Affairs, HEOR, and Real‑World Evidence teams.
• Support evidence generation discussions and prioritize research questions.
