Job summary

Ulteig is seeking a seasonal Summer Environmental Intern to support environmental compliance and due diligence for public and private clients across Lifeline Sectors including Transportation, Renewables, Power and Water. The internship provides hands-on exposure to environmental analysis, regulatory compliance, and field investigations.

The Intern will assist with NEPA, wetland delineation, and environmental site assessments while collaborating with engineers, planners, and scientists on

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in progress in environmental sciences or related field
• Interest in NEPA and regulatory frameworks (e.g., NEPA, ESA, CWA, CAA, NHPA, CERCLA/RCRA)
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Ability to manage time and work on multiple tasks
• Willingness to travel for fieldwork and to work outdoors in various weather
• Permanent authorization to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Prepare environmental documentation including NEPA documents and wetland delineation reports
• Review, interpret, and summarize environmental and field data for investigations
• Assist with fieldwork such as wildlife, botanical, and water resource surveys
• Communicate scientific information clearly to project teams
• Contribute to written environmental reports and supporting materials
• Support permitting, coordination, and compliance activities
