Job summary

Sandia National Laboratories seeks engineering undergraduates for the Transportation Safeguards & Surety Program internship onsite in New Mexico. You will collaborate on cross-disciplinary projects spanning advanced transporter design, security, data analytics, and prototype development.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled full-time in an accredited related undergraduate program
• Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0
• Ability to work up to 40 hours per week during the summer
• U.S. citizenship required to obtain security clearance

Responsibilities

• Brainstorm solutions to challenging technical problems as part of a team
• Apply data analytics techniques for feature extraction
• Develop computer models of components and structures
• Conduct full-scale crash simulations and safety assessments
• Support assembly and testing of components and systems
