Job summary

Divergent is seeking engineering interns for Summer 2027 in Torrance, CA. You will collaborate with engineers to design, analyze, and test mechanical and structural components, and support development of software tools, simulations, and automation workflows.

This 12-week onsite internship offers hands-on experience across design, manufacturing, and advanced materials, with exposure to Divergent’s DAPS workflow, additive manufacturing, and robotics. You will present findings at the program end.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in BS/MS in STEM fields.
• Strong CAD and programming foundations.
• Exposure to design, analysis, and manufacturing concepts.
• Interest in additive manufacturing and robotics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineers to design, analyze, and test components.
• Support software tools, automation workflows, or simulations.
• Conduct data collection and technical analysis for problems.
• Assist prototyping and validation using DAPS workflow.
• Document processes, results, and recommendations for stakeholders.
• Present findings and outcomes at internship end.
