Job summary

Mueller Water Products, Inc. in Decatur, IL, is seeking an Engineering College Intern for Summer 2027 (co-op options). You will support Operations with projects aligned to plant and divisional strategies, including 3D modeling in SolidWorks and evaluating material flow and racking requirements.

The role targets students pursuing Mechanical, Industrial, Material Science or Electrical Engineering, with proficiency in SolidWorks/ProE/AutoCAD and MS Office. Housing provided if outside 50 miles.

Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a 4-year degree in Mechanical/Industrial/Material Science or Electrical Engineering.
• Basic proficiency in SolidWorks, ProE, AutoCAD, and MS Office is required.
• Must have a 3.0+ Major GPA or higher.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and speech.
• Ability to work in a cross-functional team in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• 3D-Modeling of Shell Cutters and Accessories in SolidWorks (within SolidWorks).
• Plan and optimize material and information flow, including layout of racking and space requirements.
• Support projects aligned with plant and divisional strategic initiatives.
