Job summary

Standard Textile is seeking a Summer Engineering Intern to join our manufacturing teams for a 10-12 week program focused on improving operational efficiency and driving continuous improvement in the Terry Towel and Sheeting departments. You will collaborate with engineering, maintenance, and production to identify process improvements and support plant-wide projects that boost productivity and automation.

  • Strong MS Office Suite skills (primarily Excel).
  • AutoCAD experience (2D) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop automated systems related to current activities that are performed manually in the plant.
  • Implement Maintenance WO system and provide training to machine operators and maintenance department.
  • Improve / streamline current method of production tracking reports.
  • Participate in various meetings and training to support the plant.
  • Assist in LEAN events that drive continuous process improvements.
  • Additional responsibilities assigned as needed.

The Summer Engineering Intern will participate in a 10-12 week internship focused on improving operational efficiency and driving continuous improvement initiatives within a manufacturing environment. The intern will work closely with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to identify process improvements in the Terry Towel and Sheeting departments while supporting plant-wide projects that enhance productivity, automation, and overall operational performance.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Develop automated systems related to current activities that are performed manually in the plant.
