Job summary

Missouri River Energy Services in Sioux Falls, SD, is seeking a student in an Engineering program for a full-time summer internship in our Generation department located at our corporate office in Sioux Falls. The internship runs from mid-May through mid-August and offers exposure to multiple generation assets.

You will work on projects involving generation facilities owned by MRES and member municipalities, including combustion turbines, solar, wind, hydro, and related asset documentation.

Qualifications

• CAD drafting skills (on-the-job experience preferred).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Desire to pursue a career in the energy industry.
• Completed high school diploma and age 18+ with plans or start of higher education.

Responsibilities

• Research generation facilities projects.
• Field work and data collection.
• Update AutoCAD drawings and asset records.
• Assist project management and documentation.
