Job summary

Little League International seeks a Safety & Security Intern for Summer 2027 at our Williamsport, PA headquarters. You’ll support emergency management efforts, help manage credentials, assist with training materials, and coordinate security staff for LLWS and daily operations.

You’ll gain hands-on experience with security systems and events in a world-renowned youth sports organization, with a May–August schedule and background checks required.

Qualifications

• Junior or Senior in Emergency Management or Homeland Security program.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines with a sense of urgency.
• Strong organizational skills and proficiency with MS Office.
• Ability to collaborate in a team and maintain confidentiality.
• Willingness to assist in emergency planning projects.

Responsibilities

• Print badges/credentials for security equipment and LLWS materials.
• Prepare training materials and set up safety/security training sessions.
• Maintain records of training certifications and file in staff records.
• Coordinate Security/Event Staff recruitment, onboarding, and scheduling.
• Contact past, current, and potential Event/Security Staff as needed.
• Maintain supplies and uniforms for LLWS and related needs.
• Prepare for pre-event staff orientation and organize check-in for staff.
• Daily use of LL Data Center, LL Volunteer Management System, and LL Background Check programs.
• Open, record, organize, and prioritize mail and communications.
• General administrative duties for the Safety and Security Coordinator and Director of Security.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
• Availability late May to end of August; including LLWS evenings/weekends.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
