Job summary

Industrial Systems, Inc. offers a 10–12 week summer internship for electrical engineering students in Vancouver, WA or Anchor Point, AK. The role focuses on electrical and control system design consulting for industrial projects, including water and wastewater treatment.

Typical start is late May or early June with applications currently open. You will create electrical drawings, size conduit per NEC, and support PLC/HMI tasks while collaborating with project leaders and other engineers.

Qualifications

• Sophomore or junior pursuing a BS in Electrical Engineering at an accredited college.
• GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Willing to relocate to Vancouver, WA or Anchor Point, AK.
• Able to work a 40-hour workweek.
• U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Pass a pre-employment drug test.
• Strong PC skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and MS Project.
• Ability to communicate with multiple engineering disciplines and project managers.

Responsibilities

• Create electrical plan drawings and circuit schedules.
• Size conduit and wire per National Electrical Code.
• Research electrical connection details for equipment.
• Collaborate on control system design drawings.
• Assist with PLC and HMI programming.
