Job summary

Corning is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern for Summer 2027 in Corning, NY. You will participate in troubleshooting, maintenance, and new equipment installation while documenting electrical and mechanical infrastructure.

You will work on meaningful projects and present your final results. Ideal candidates are enrolled in a BSEE or BSEET program, proficient with AutoCAD and MS Office, and available for a 10-week summer period with graduation after December 2027.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited program entering Junior or Senior year for a BSEE or BSEET degree.
• Ability to use AutoCAD to update electrical and mechanical drawings.
• Ability to use electrical test meters, PCs and/or schematics to troubleshoot electrical equipment/infrastructure.
• Power Engineering coursework or knowledge.
• Proficient with MS Office applications.
• Must be available for 10 weeks during Summer 2027 (May-August 2027) with a graduation date of December 2027 or later.
• Be interested in working for Corning, Inc after graduation, if presented with a full-time job opportunity.
• Be willing to work at the posted job location.
