Job description

Achievement Behavior Care (ABC) Services is an Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) home-based therapy agency dedicated to connecting children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their families with ABA tools, principles, and practices to promote success and independence during school years (ages 3-23). Led by LCSWs and BCBAs, we have been growing as an ABA agency since 2015. We are currently seeking ABA Behavioral Technicians (BTs) to join our team of dedicated professionals, providing direct ABA services to children with ASD in collaboration with our Board-Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).

Behavior Technician Location & Schedule:

Lake Hiawatha:

Until July 21: Monday through Friday, 1:30 - 4:30/5:30 PM

From July 21 to August 17: No sessions

Starting August 18: Monday through Friday, 1:30 - 4:30/5:30 PM or Fall schedule: Monday - Friday, 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM

We also have cases in Hudson County (Union City, North Bergen, Secaucus, Kearny), with bilingual Spanish and English-speaking BTs, and in Essex, Bergen, Passaic, Morris, Warren, Sussex, Middlesex, Somerset, Ocean, and Mercer counties, with schedules after school hours, some weekends, and daytime during the summer.

Behavior Technician Tasks:

• Assess and document students' skill acquisition progress based on Behavior Intervention Plans (BIP)
• Provide 1:1, goal-oriented, in-home direct services involving ABA techniques such as discrete trial training, prompting, modeling, redirection, reinforcement, and reward systems
• Maintain thorough session documentation, data analysis, and billing
• Engage actively with clinical guidance and feedback from BCBA supervisors
• Communicate effectively and respectfully with clients, caregivers, supervisors, and colleagues

Behavior Technician Qualifications:

• Relevant fields: Special Education, Social Work, Applied Behavior Analysis, or related
• Preferred: RBT certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board
• 0-5 years of experience for entry-level roles
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work under high-stress situations
• Reliable habits, including punctuality and organization
• Experience working with preschool and elementary-aged children
• Proven success working with children with Autism and developmental issues
• Additional qualifications as required by state
