Job description

GENERAL DUTIES:
  1. Be responsible for the spiritual welfare of the Day Camp staff and campers.
  2. Maintain a standard of cleanliness in personal grooming and living quarters.
  3. Assist with camp clean-up at the end of each session and summer, as schedule allows.
  4. Assist with "break day" duties as assigned.
  5. Prepare and deliver the Day Camp brief at summer's end.
  6. Perform any other duties as assigned by the Camp Administrator and/or Divisional Youth Secretary.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Safety and Supervision
  1. Supervise and direct all Day Camp staff.
  2. Enforce camp policies and procedures.
  3. Ensure safety for staff and campers at all times.
  4. Maintain compliance with ACA safety standards.
  5. Coordinate and implement daily program components.
Weekly Responsibilities
  1. Support staff through prayer and meetings.
  2. Supervise and direct camp staff.
  3. Collaborate on weekly duties and schedules with other directors.
  4. Plan Elective Classes Schedule and Free Time options.
  5. Coordinate Team Time Activity Schedule.
  6. Ensure program assignments are prepared in advance.
  7. Maintain ACA standards for site and program.
  8. Lead grace and announcements at meals.
  9. Evaluate staff performance.
  10. Maintain equipment and supplies inventory.
  11. Prepare summer camp brief and staff briefs.
  12. Oversee camper registration and placement.
  13. Lead during camp assembly times.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to perform physical activities such as sitting, walking, standing, bending, climbing, lifting up to 25 lbs., and operating computers and phones. Reasonable accommodations will be considered for qualified individuals with disabilities.
