An established industry player is seeking dedicated counselors for a vibrant day camp program. This full-time seasonal role offers the opportunity to positively impact children's lives through engaging activities and supervision. POSITION SUMMARY:
Counselors are the primary adult supervisor for a group of children during the day camp day and assist in the implementation of our Christian based day camp program.
This is a full time, seasonal position which begins May 27 and continuing through August 15. Pay is $13/hour.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
Give direct supervision to a group of children making the safety and well being of all campers a top priority.
Follow and facilitate all day camp objectives, rules, policies and procedures.
Lead campers in all Camp Kroc programs such as small group, before and after care, teen leader program, and inclusion program.
Encourage participation in any and all activities appropriate to those children in your assigned group. This includes activities such as music & drama classes, Bible class, recreation class, and arts & crafts.
Serve as a positive role model to young children by demonstrating high standards of personal conduct.
Administer emergency first aid as needed.
Respond to and report any forms of camper misconduct (bullying, inappropriate behavior, etc).
Aid in daily meal preparation, serving, and clean up after daily snacks and lunch.
Work in a cooperative manner with the other Day Camp Staff as well as other Kroc Center staff to execute daily plans and activities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Be at least 18 years of age.
Minimum of 1 to 2 years prior experience in working with children.
High school diploma or GED equivalency.
Must be able to read, write and communicate in English. Ability to speak Spanish desired.
Must be able to pass a thorough background check.
