Job summary

Bob Jones University in Greenville, SC is seeking student custodial staff to help prepare areas for summer camps and the upcoming school year. The role is 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with morning and afternoon shifts; hours are flexible if arranged with the Custodial Supervisor.

You will perform cleaning, carpet cleaning, floor stripping and waxing, and light custodial tasks. Candidates must be enrolled as a student at BJU and able to stand, bend, lift, and work well with others.

Qualifications

• Ability to follow instructions and work with a team.
• Stand, stoop, squat, lift, carry, push, and perform repetitive motions.

POSITION SUMMARY: Working as a team to prepare areas for summer camps and the following school year. Responsible for sanitizing and cleaning of assigned areas. This position is 40 hours; Monday through Friday, 8:00am-12:00pm and 1:00pm-5:00pm (amount and timing of hours are flexible if arranged with the Custodial Supervisor).

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Works on crews doing general cleaning, carpet cleaning, stripping and waxing of floors, or white-gloving
• Must take ownership and responsibility for your assigned areas
• Reports to a supervising GA or staff member
• Ability to follow instructions
• Ability to remain flexible and take initiative
• Ability to work with others
• Ability to communicate well within the crews, to those supervising, and to the Custodial Supervisor
• Attention to detail
