Job summary

Monteith Construction in Winston-Salem, NC, is offering a paid Construction Operations Intern program for the summer. The 12-week internship provides hands-on exposure to commercial construction projects, with involvement in RFIs, submittals, drawings, jobsite coordination, and meetings.

You will support field and office teams, gain experience with Procore, and participate in company programming and final presentation.

Qualifications

Currently enrolled in an accredited college/university pursuing a related construction management degree.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities

Support Project Engineers and Project Managers with RFIs, submittals, drawings, and project documentation.
Work with Superintendents to understand daily jobsite operations, sequencing, and coordination of trade partners.
Participate in jobsite walks, project meetings, safety meetings, and planning sessions.
Assist with tracking project schedules, upcoming activities, and construction progress.
Review drawings and specifications to understand project scope and construction details.
Document jobsite progress through photos, field reports, and other project management tools.
Assist with quality control and punch list activities.
Promote a safe, organized jobsite and participate in safety procedures.
