Job summary

Baldwin & Shell Construction Company is seeking a Construction Management Intern for Summer 2027 who will thrive in our team-oriented environment. The 10-week internship provides hands-on training on active commercial projects, translating classroom knowledge into real-world skills.

Interns will support project engineers and managers, assist with Procore setup, submittals, RFIs, change orders, and bid packages, and gain exposure to preconstruction, estimating, field office operations, and

Qualifications

• Current student pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field of study.
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communications skills.
• Must be self-driven, motivated and possess the ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
• Must possess strong organizational and time management skills and the ability to perform under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Apply the knowledge you have acquired in the classroom setting to active commercial construction projects.
• Provide support to Project Engineers and Project Managers.
• Assist with setting up projects in Procore.
• Review submittals, import estimates and set up subcontracts.
• Assist with RFIs, change orders, scheduling, specifications, and monthly projections.
• Assist with reviewing plans and put together bid packages.
• Attend and participate in “job walks”.
• Communicate with subcontractors to develop bid interest in our construction projects.
• Assist with quantity takeoffs.
• Document job site project progress, take and upload photos into Procore.
• Attend weekly meetings with project owner’s and architects.
• Communicate with subcontractors to track job schedules.
• Assist with project close out preparations and punch list coordination.
