Job summary

LJB Inc. is seeking Construction Inspector Interns to support Maine DOT inspection projects across Central, Southern, Western and Eastern Maine.

This is a summer internship beginning on or around May 17, 2027, through late August, with pay of $18+ per hour. The role offers hands-on field experience in roadway paving, rehabilitation and reconstruction, plus training in measurement, documentation and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• College student pursuing engineering or engineering technology.
• Able to work more than 40 hours per week.
• Reliable and willing to follow directions from supervisor.
• Good communicator and comfortable on job sites.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic construction inspection and documentation.
• Measure quantities and check compliance with specs.
• Travel to job sites as assignments vary.
• Communicate test results to supervisor.
