Job summary

University of Michigan ITS Marketing and Communications is offering a Summer 2026 Communications/Marketing Intern position on campus in Ann Arbor. You will contribute to writing, visuals, social content, and articles for ITS websites and newsletters, while supporting the communications staff.

Interns may specialize in writing, social media content creation, or graphic/video work, with emphasis on collaboration, feedback, and real-world project exposure across campus events and tech

Qualifications

• Strong writing skills with AP style.
• Experience in related field or similar responsibilities.
• Good interpersonal communication in writing and speaking.
• Able to work on multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities.
• Willingness to participate in campus events and content creation.
• Enrolled student during the program duration.

Responsibilities

• Support Marketing/Communications with core duties listed above.
• Create and edit content for ITS websites and newsletters.
• Assist social media team with content creation and scheduling.
• Collaborate on a cohort project sponsored by ITS or campus partners.
• Present work in a final showcase to university staff and faculty.
