Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a Communications undergraduate intern for a summer program in Chicago. You will help plan, execute and deliver communications campaigns, write and edit articles, and support the team with project management and analytics.

The internship runs eight to twelve weeks with start dates in May or June 2027. Applicants must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and preferred to have completed at least the sophomore year. AA/EOE.

Qualifications

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate program.
• Preferred: completion of at least the sophomore year of study.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, execution and delivery of communications campaigns.
• Write and edit articles, letters, emails and other communications.
• Provide writing support to team members and clients as needed.
• Create timelines for tactics and manage them to ensure on-time delivery.
• Proofread materials and obtain approvals from managers and legal staff.
• Serve as a project manager for materials that need design and editing.
• Monitor tactics through analytics and measurement tools.
• Develop collateral supporting client campaigns and present finished work to the department.
