Job summary

Basin Electric Power Cooperative is seeking a Civil Engineering intern for the summer of 2027 in its Headquarters in Bismarck, ND. The role offers project-based, temporary work with 40–50 hours per week under a registered Land Surveyor’s supervision.

You will assist with field surveys, field equipment maintenance, and data management using CAD software, while meeting minimum student qualifications and GPA requirements. CIP-related access may apply.

Qualifications

• Be enrolled as a full-time student in a two-year Surveying, GIS, Engineering, or Engineering Technology program with at least two semesters completed, or recent graduate.
• Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 and hold a valid driver’s license.
• Transcript required at time of application; CIP-related access may apply.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field survey services for volumetric surveys, construction staking, and boundary surveys.
• Maintain and care for survey equipment.
• Download and organize data using surveying and CAD software for project requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
