Job summary

As an intern, you’ll work with licensed engineers on design, planning, and project documentation, gaining exposure to transportation, water, and other infrastructure projects to sharpen technical and communication skills. Qualifications

• Pursuing a Civil Engineering degree full-time in an accredited program.
• Has completed at least one year of college (rising sophomores eligible).
• Graduating May 2027 is not eligible for CHA's Internship Program.
• Microsoft Office familiarity; AutoCAD experience preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Support civil engineering design, planning, and project development efforts.
• Assist with technical calculations, drawings, and project documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Gain exposure to real-world infrastructure projects across a variety of industries and markets, applying classroom knowledge to projects that help improve mobility, connectivity, sustainability, and resiliency.
• Participate in professional development, networking opportunities, and intern program activities.
