Job summary

Kids Science Labs in Chicago is hiring for the summer camps to inspire kids through hands-on science and creative electives. We seek energetic teachers who can guide 20 students with a co-teacher, delivering engaging, student-centered instruction.

Typical days run 8am–4pm, Monday–Friday, June 8 through September 4. This role suits college students or teachers who love helping kids learn, laugh, and explore in a lively classroom setting.

• BS/BA completed or in progress in a related field (education, art, science, communication, theatre or psychology).

Kids Science Labs, the leader in hands‑on science education, is hiring for our upcoming camps. We are looking for talented team members to join us as we inspire the next generation of creative thinkers and leaders. Each day we engage our students with hands‑on projects that help them relate core science concepts to their everyday lives, we hope to inspire them, engage them, and have fun along the way.

We are hiring for all our locations: South Loop (1801 S. Indiana Chicago, IL), Roscoe Village (3324 N. Western Ave Chicago, IL).

Typical days are 8 am‑4 pm with a mid‑day break. We offer camp Monday‑Friday from June 8th to September 4th. We have a great team, work hard, and have fun.

Roles and Responsibilities

Our teachers / team members are critical to our success. We enable and inspire thousands of kids every day through our passionate work. Therefore, our summer camp team is required to be curious and adaptive. You will engage students in a program that includes a hands‑on discovery science class, as well as two electives in the afternoon in art, critical thinking, problem solving, and general science. You will provide instructions for engagement to 20 students with a co‑teacher, supporting student learning and exploration for a company that is all about high quality learning experiences.

Make no mistake, although we laugh and have fun, the work is both challenging and rewarding. It also involves you spending time in a progressive classroom environment that is all about building fundamental skills in kids that lead to their (and your own) long‑term outperformance. Benefits

Teachers in Summer Camp earn $25/hr and Support Teachers earn $22/hr
