Job description

We are now hiring Summer Camp Teachers for the 2025 summer season at our lovely Guidepost Montessori school in Brushy Creek (East Cedar Park)!

Our summer camp runs from June to August. We are hiring for both full-time and part-time roles. If you are interested in Montessori or early childhood education, are a college student, want to shift away from retail, restaurants, etc... maybe this is the role for you!

Your Role

In this Summer Camp role, you will support our Lead Teacher in guiding children to be more independent and confident in their abilities. This is a great opportunity to start your career in Montessori education, as many of our Assistant and Summer Camp Guides (Teachers) ultimately grow to take on a Lead Guide role over time, thanks to our MACTE-accredited Montessori training program.

We’re looking for a Summer Teacher who will bring their best in order to support every child in reaching their highest potential!

Guidepost Guides (teachers):

  • Observe children closely to understand and best meet their needs
  • Prepare a beautiful, orderly environment that fosters independence and concentration
  • Provide individual and small-group lessons to support each child’s development
  • Form personal connections with each child and cultivate a community of collaboration and respect

An ideal candidate has:

  • Are familiar with the development of young children
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and customer service oriented mindset
  • Are willing to grow and learn
  • Have a valid negative TB test (in the last 12 months) or are willing to take prior to your start date.
  • Have a valid CPR certification or are willing to become certified prior to start date.
  • Are excited to learn more about Montessori education

What we offer:

  • The opportunity to contribute to a high-quality Montessori program that serves the individual needs of each child
  • 75% tuition discount for two children at any school in our network (we serve children from 3-months-old through Elementary)
  • A network of supportive peers and mentors who appreciate your valuable contributions and regularly share best practices
  • Abundant career growth and promotion opportunities
  • A competitive pay rate ($18-20)
  • Health, dental, and vision insurance
  • Paid time off and paid holidays
