Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Brandywine seeks a dynamic leader to oversee program areas including summer day camp and sports operations. You will recruit, train, and supervise staff and volunteers, develop curricula, manage budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance across programs.

You will also support annual campaign activities, build community partnerships, and uphold high-quality program delivery through ongoing staff development and evaluations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
• Minimum of two years of work experience.
• Experience directing programs through supervision of volunteers and staff.
• YMCA Team Leader certification preferred.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and manages operating plans and delivery to promote program for the YMCA.
• Executes strategies to ensure that members and/or program participants connect with one another and connect with the YMCA.
• Hires, Trains, Onboards and supervises part-time and full-time hourly staff and volunteers in assigned areas.
• Facilitates communication and provides leadership to staff.
• Ensures compliance with state and local regulations.
