Job summary

Camp Wediko in Windsor, NH, is hiring temporary Nurses for Summer 2026 to support medical programming at a 40-day residential therapeutic summer camp. Nurses will work under the Nurse Manager and Director, ensuring student safety and on-campus health services with available on-site housing.

Qualifications include NH or compact RN/LPN licensure and 3+ years in residential/medical settings, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Up-to-date RN or LPN licensure within NH or a compact state.
• Three years plus of work experience in residential services or medical field preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Familiarity with Electronic Health Records and basic Microsoft Suite Programs.
• Ability to travel to Camp Wediko’s New Hampshire campus.
• Awareness of child psychiatric medications and possible side effects.
• Ability to stand for long periods and navigate outdoor terrain.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on a team of nurses to ensure comprehensive health care for students and staff.
• Oversee youth medication administration and maintain medication records.
• Coordinate with prescriber around medication changes.
• Facilitate medication refills and notify caregivers as needed.
• Provide on-site medical care and first aid for students, staff, and visitors.
• Coordinate care at medical centers and understand insurance coverage.
• Support care plans for chronic medical issues.
• Coordinate dietary needs and food plans for students.
• Communicate with caregivers about ongoing medical concerns and emergencies.
• Maintain medical information and records for students and staff.
• Complete injury forms and report to Health and Safety Executive when necessary.
• Adhere to medical protocols at Camp Wediko.
• Perform other medical duties as requested by Nurse Manager or Director.
