Job summary

Galileo Learning, LLC is seeking an experienced Camp Director to lead a Camp Galileo site for K–8th campers. You will serve as site General Manager and the public face, opening and operating the location with a dynamic team to deliver a joyful, safe, and high-quality program for families.

You will oversee preseason planning, daily operations, scheduling, payroll, and staff development, while maintaining Galileo’s mission and culture. Strong communication with families and partners is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience working directly with students or youth
• Minimum 1 year of experience managing or supervising adult staff
• Proven experience creating safe, inclusive environments for children and building trust with families
• Proven experience setting clear expectations, giving ongoing feedback, and coaching staff to improve
• Experience managing operational details like scheduling, staffing, and payroll
• Availability for part-time remote work starting Feb 2026 and on-site work starting June 2026

Responsibilities

• Open and operate a Camp Galileo location from preseason planning through end-of-summer wrap-up
• Lead a seasonal team of educators and staff to deliver joyful, safe, high-quality programs
• Communicate with families and partners to ensure exceptional camper experiences
• Oversee daily camp operations, scheduling, payroll, and performance management
• Build and maintain an inclusive camp culture aligned with Galileo’s mission
