What This Role Entails
  1. Prepare materials and supplies for each camp component.
  2. Document attendance, incidents, and other observations.
  3. Deliver the different Right At School camp components each day.
  4. Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
  5. Model positive guidance and effective classroom management to ensure safety and well-being of all children.
  6. Meet regularly with the Camp Lead to prepare activities and group schedules.
  7. Understand how Summer Camp differs from After School based on activities and expectations.
  8. Be a mentor and memory maker for each child every day.
Ideal Candidates Will Have The Following
  • Outstanding customer service and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age.
  • College credits in early childhood education, child development, elementary education, or a related field (preferred).
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living.
  • Ability to meet state-specific requirements such as CPR, Mandated Reporter training, TB test, etc.
