Join us for a joyful, mission-driven summer as a Summer Camp Counselor (or Team Leader). You will be the core presence for each camper, guiding them through a safe, engaging, and impactful experience. This seasonal role involves working full-time Monday through Friday.
Core Responsibilities
Build Your Skills with Ongoing Training and Support
Complete paid online training, attend in-person setup days, and develop professionally through feedback and hands-on learning guided by camp leaders.
Compensation
Starting at $18.24/hour for first-year staff, with increases based on tenure. Benefits include a free camp week for your child, discounts, scholarship nominations, and membership in the Galileo Alumni Community.
Requirements include prior experience working with children, ability to work full camp duration, background checks, certifications, and availability for 8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday. Applicants must be at least 18 years old by May 12, 2025. Bilingual skills and college coursework are a plus.

Schedule
Camp operates Monday through Friday with shifts starting as early as 7:00 a.m. and ending as late as 6:30 p.m. Pre-camp training and setup days are required, with specific dates varying by location.

Physical Demands
Occasionally lift and carry up to 60 lbs, operate a computer, and perform physical activities such as standing, walking, kneeling, and sitting.
