Job summary

Godman Guild Association is seeking SYEP counselors for Camp Mary Orton to co-lead groups of 25–30 campers across grades K–8. You will ensure safety, structure, and engaging activities, including hands-on STEM, language arts, and social-emotional development in a fun day-camp setting.

Responsibilities include co-planning, logging attendance, supporting meal and transport tasks, and upholding program policies.

Qualifications

• Must be able to walk, lift, and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Pass Ohio Criminal Background Check is required.
• Interest or background in Summer Camp, Education, Child Development, or Social Work.
• Completion of High School and age 18 by 6/1/2022.
• Current 1st Aid-CPR certification (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Provide co-leadership and direction to a grade-level program of 25–30 campers.
• Co-plan and facilitate schedule blocks and rotations.
• Support daily SYEP functions including bus stop supervision and meal programs.
• Document attendance, activity logs, safety logs, and notes.
• Interact professionally with campers, parents, and guardians.
• Enforce all SYEP program policies and procedures.
