Job description

Role Mission: We are looking for enthusiastic, attentive individuals to serve as Summer Camp Counselors to lead, support, and motivate campers as they enjoy all that the camp has to offer. The Camp Counselor will help plan events and lead group activities, monitor campers and respond to incidents such as behavioral problems or accidents, log events, maintain records related to activities, and discuss camper participation and concerns with parents and other camp staff. You should be positive, proactive, and caring, focusing on providing campers with a fun and safe camp experience.

Accountabilities
  • Ensure all camp activities are well planned, coordinated, and age-appropriate.
  • Collaborate with staff to plan and coordinate events.
  • Support and lead campers in activities, monitor safety, and enforce rules.
  • Maintain and clean facilities and equipment.
  • Record incidents and communicate with parents and staff.
  • Learn emergency procedures and enforce camp policies.
  • Participate in staff meetings.
Supports Summer Camp Programming
  • Participate in promotional events.
  • Develop engaging curriculum.
  • Assist in training staff.
  • Potentially serve in leadership roles.
  • Support various camp operations, including kitchen, medical clinic, and activity setup.

Qualifications

  • Availability from May 20 to July 29, 2024, and willing to live on-site.
