Job summary

YMCA in Flemington, NJ is seeking a Summer Camp Counselor to join our team this season. The role is part-time and seasonal, paying $16-$17 per hour, with 3-5 days a week from 8:00 to 4:00.

You will help children reach their potential and maintain safety and engaging activities. Ideal candidates are 15+ years old with 1+ year experience, strong communication, and a passion for positive, energetic environments.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of age
• 1+ years working with children and teens
• Enjoyment from working with children and maintaining positive relationships with their parents in high energy environments
• Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Safely supervise children during daily camp activities
• Reinforce positive behaviors and sportsmanship
• Support lesson plans and camp objectives
• Build and maintain strong relationships with members and parents
