Summer Camp Counselor (Franklin Pierce School District)

About Right At School: We provide local school districts with before and after school extended day programs focused on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment to support student success. Our mission emphasizes inspiring a love of learning, supporting schools, and giving families peace of mind by creating safe, engaging environments for children to explore and grow.

Location: Brookdale Elementary

Pay Rate: $17.50-19.50/hr (based on education and experience)

Responsibilities:

1. Participate in daily program meetings to review goals, share ideas, and encourage team collaboration.
2. Organize and facilitate daily activities and curriculum that are educational and enjoyable for children.
3. Maintain a safe, nurturing environment, modeling positive guidance and effective classroom management.
4. Monitor safety, address hazards, and follow safety protocols, including documenting attendance and incidents.
5. Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

• Excellent customer service and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work well in a team environment.
• At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 (preferred).
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
• A passion for inspiring a love of learning and supporting healthy living.
• Flexibility to support additional programs as needed.

Washington State Requirements:

• Ability to meet state-specific requirements.
• In-person First Aid and CPR certification.
• Cleared tuberculosis test.
• Food Handlers Card.
• Proof of MMR vaccination.
• Must be 18+ years old.
• Proof of High School diploma or GED.
• Background check with fingerprinting.
