QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 16 years of age or older
  • High school Student or Graduate/Equivalent
  • Previous experience working with children preferably in a day camp setting
  • Experience preferred in one or more of the following areas: outdoor living, camping, songs/music, skits, sports, aquatics, recreational games, etc.
  • Ability to attend the mandatory summer day camp training.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Work under the general direction of a supervisor to supervise, participate with youth
  • Monitor assigned campers at all times
  • Accompanies campers to different sites such as field trips, swimming, etc.
  • Assists in maintaining the cleanliness of the location.
  • Attend staff meetings and complete all required training
