At Taste Buds Kitchen, the Summer Camp Cooking Instructor hosts cooking camps for children from four years old up to teens! We seek a high-energy individual who enjoys inspiring others to have fun in the kitchen. The ideal candidate should have prior culinary experience, a passion for the culinary arts, and organizational skills to plan and host engaging cooking camps for children. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.

We are looking for candidates with Monday to Friday availability to work one of the following shifts during the camp season:

7:30 AM to 1:00 PM or 11:30 AM to 5:00 PM. Flexibility to work either shift is preferred.

Priority is given to those available for the entire camp season. Additional hours may be available for candidates willing to work nights and weekends!

Responsibilities of the Summer Camp Cooking Instructor include:

• Hosting engaging cooking camps for children and teens
• Teaching cooking and baking skills related to the class menu
• Creating a friendly, energetic, and consistent experience for guests
• Managing the event from start to finish
• Interacting with guests to ensure satisfaction
• Supervising culinary assistants during larger camps
• Setting up before classes and cleaning up afterward
• Maintaining a safe, clean, and controlled environment
• Providing first aid / CPR if needed

Ideal candidate qualities:

• Self-starter capable of working in a fast-paced environment
• Passion for food and culinary entertainment
• Upbeat personality with an infectious smile
• Eager to get hands dirty
• Good communication skills with children
• Confidence in various cooking and baking techniques
• Comfortable speaking in front of groups
• Experience entertaining kids and/or adults (1+ years preferred)
• Relevant cooking or restaurant experience (not required)
• Teaching experience or training in education/child development (not required)
• Ability to stand long periods and lift 45 pounds
• First aid/CPR certification
• Enjoyment of a small business environment
