Job Overview

We are seeking a creative, skilled, and enthusiastic Woodshop Director to lead our woodworking program for campers aged 7-15. The director will develop engaging projects, foster creativity, and ensure a safe, fun environment. This is an excellent opportunity for those passionate about woodworking and working with children.

Key Responsibilities

1. Program Planning: Design and organize woodworking projects suitable for various age groups and skill levels.
2. Instruction: Teach woodworking techniques, emphasizing safety and proper tool use.
3. Safety Management: Maintain a safe workspace, enforce safety protocols, and supervise campers.
4. Equipment Maintenance: Inspect, maintain, and repair tools and equipment.
5. Camper Engagement: Create a positive environment promoting creativity, teamwork, and confidence.
6. Staff Collaboration: Coordinate with camp staff to integrate woodworking into the camp program.
7. Inventory Management: Track supplies and request replenishments as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in woodworking or carpentry, with the ability to teach children.

Schedule & Commitment
