Job Overview

We are seeking a creative, skilled, and enthusiastic Woodshop Director to lead our woodworking program for campers aged 7-15. The Woodshop Director will develop engaging, age-appropriate woodworking projects, foster creativity, and ensure a safe and fun environment for campers. Key Responsibilities

1. Program Planning: Design and organize woodworking projects suitable for different age groups and skill levels.
2. Instruction: Teach woodworking techniques, ensuring proper use of tools and safety protocols.
3. Safety Management: Maintain a safe workspace, enforce safety standards, and supervise campers.
4. Equipment Maintenance: Inspect and repair tools and equipment regularly.
5. Camper Engagement: Create a positive environment that encourages creativity and teamwork.
6. Staff Collaboration: Coordinate with camp staff to integrate woodworking activities into the camp schedule.
7. Inventory Management: Monitor supplies and request replenishments as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in woodworking or carpentry, with ability to teach children foundational skills.
• Previous experience working with children or in a camp setting preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage groups in a dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of and commitment to safety standards in woodworking.

Physical Requirements

Schedule & Commitment

This full-time, seasonal position runs from June 12th to August 10th, 2025. Compensation includes a competitive salary, room and board, and a travel stipend.
