Job Description

• Hold a Class B CDL with passenger endorsement.
• Provide safe transportation to campers and staff to field trips, pool, and weather locations.
• Ensure the safety of the children in the program at all times (including on field trips and at the pool).
• Responsible for direct interaction with the children in games, activities, and free play.
• Ensure that both JCPRD and KDHE guidelines are followed.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized program.
• Effectively communicate with parents, children, supervisors, and co-workers.
• Exhibit initiative by demonstrating leadership without being prompted.
• Display professionalism at all times.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Attend all required in-service trainings and meetings.
• Additional duties as assigned by the Program Director or Assistant Program Director.
• Salary: $19.00 per hour

Summer Camp locations are at Big Bull Creek, Heritage Park, Stoll Park, Shawnee Mission Park, Harmon Park, Antioch Park, and Trail Ridge Middle School.

Monday - Friday, hours will vary between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.

Duties and responsibilities, as required by business necessity, may be added, deleted, or changed at any time at the discretion of management, formally or informally, either verbally or in writing. Scheduling and shift assignments and work location may be changed at any time, as required by business necessity.

Job Requirements

• Minimum age of 21.
• Hold a valid CDL with proper endorsements.
• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• Some experience with children.
• Pass KBI background check.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Twenty-one years of age.
• Hold a valid CDL.
• High School Graduate or equivalent.
• One year experience working with children 5-12 years of age in a licensed childcare setting.
